Professional Installation Recommended: Quartz sinks are heavy, precision composite products. We strongly advise that countertop cutting and mounting be carried out by a qualified professional stone fabricator or experienced kitchen installer.

Part 1: Pre-Installation & Fitting Guidelines

1. Before Installation

Ensure that the countertop material (granite, quartz, marble, or solid surface) and the base cabinet width are fully compatible with your selected sink dimensions and weight.

2. Check Product Before Installation

Inspect the sink thoroughly under adequate lighting before starting any cutting work. Verify the size, bowl depth, finish, and check for any transit cracks or blemishes. Once a sink is installed or cut into a countertop, it is strictly non-returnable.

3. Supported Installation Types

SUSU Quartz Sinks feature precision flat rims engineered to support both Top-Mount (Drop-in) and Under-Mount installations depending on the countertop specification and kitchen design layout.

4. Top-Mount (Drop-in) Installation

Trace the countertop cut-out carefully using the supplied template or the actual sink basin profile, allowing the outer rim flange to rest flat and securely on the countertop surface.

5. Under-Mount Installation

For undermount installations, the countertop edge must be cleanly polished. Use appropriate undermount epoxy fasteners and mounting clips to secure the sink firmly from underneath.

6. Silicone Waterproof Sealing

Apply a continuous bead of high-grade neutral-cure sanitary silicone sealant along the entire contact perimeter between the sink rim and countertop. Wipe away excess sealant immediately with a damp cloth.

7. Drain Waste Coupling Installation

Fit the included stainless steel drain waste coupling with its rubber gasket seated properly underneath the flange. Tighten the central securing screw firmly by hand tools without applying excessive pneumatic force.

8. Plumbing Connections

Connect the waste pipe/bottle trap ensuring proper gradient for rapid drainage. Test all plumbing joints under flowing water to verify that there are no leaks around the coupling or overflow.

9. Cabinet Base Support

For large format single bowl (30" / 31") and double bowl models (37", 40", 45"), ensure the under-cabinet support framework or wooden cleat supports are adequately braced to support the filled sink weight.

10. First Use Preparation

Allow the silicone sealant to cure fully for at least 24 hours before filling the sink with water or subjecting it to heavy kitchen use.

Part 2: Daily Care & Maintenance Guidelines

11. Daily Cleaning

Rinse the basin with fresh water after each use to remove food residues. Clean the surface using warm water and a mild liquid dishwashing detergent with a soft microfiber cloth or non-abrasive sponge.

12. Removing Water Marks & Hard Water Deposits

In hard water areas, mineral limescale may leave whitish film over time. Wipe the sink dry with a soft cloth after use. To remove existing mineral film, use a mild solution of warm water and household white vinegar (1:1 ratio), rinse thoroughly, and dry.

13. Substances & Tools to Avoid

  • Do NOT use steel wool pads, metal scouring pads, or hard wire brushes.
  • Do NOT use harsh scouring powders containing coarse abrasive grit.
  • Do NOT leave tea bags, coffee dregs, oily spices, or concentrated food coloring sitting in the basin for prolonged periods.

14. Chemical Safety

Avoid contact with strong industrial acids, caustic drain openers, paint thinners, acetone, or oven cleaners. If accidental contact occurs, flush the area immediately with copious amounts of fresh water.

15. Heat & Hot Cookware

SUSU Quartz Sinks offer excellent thermal resistance for everyday kitchen temperatures. However, extreme thermal shock from placing smoking hot cast iron pans or boiling pressure cookers directly from the stove should be avoided; always place a silicone mat or trivet underneath extremely hot cookware.

16. Preventing Surface Scratches

Do not use the sink basin as a cutting board. Avoid dropping heavy sharp knives or cast iron skillets directly onto the bottom of the basin.

17. Long-Term Maintenance

Periodic application of a drop of edible mineral oil on a dry cloth can help restore and rejuvenate the deep, rich luster of dark-toned quartz sinks (such as Metallic Black or Choco).

18. Impact on Warranty Eligibility

Please note that damages resulting from improper installation, chemical abuse, physical impact, or failure to follow these care instructions are strictly excluded from warranty coverage.
